The Catania designer Claudio Di Mari brings his Sicily to the Barcelona Bridal Week

Claudio Di Mari goes beyond the Italian borders and takes to the catwalk of Barcelona Bridal Week, one of the most important international events in the bridal fashion sector. For a week, the Spanish city becomes the mecca for bridal fashion experts with Bridal Week which attracts the interest of thousands of national and international buyers every year. The Sicilian designer, known for his sartorial creations, was among the protagonists of the 2024 edition with a fashion show much appreciated by the public, but also by important names in the fashion scene such as Bryan Yambao, better known as Bryanboy, famous fashion blogger and international fashion star. With the presentation of the new collection in Barcelona, ​​the “Claudio Di Mari” brand embarks on an international trajectory and establishes itself as one of our Sicilian excellences that is also making its way abroad. Tailoring, care in the research of fabrics and laces and the tailoring of the dress are the basis of his creations.

“Barcelona is another great dream that comes true – states the young designer – I am happy to bring my Sicily outside of Italy through my creations”. White as the sum of all colors, Sicily as a place of all wonders. For the 2025 collection, which bears the name “Bianca”, Claudio Di Mari was inspired by Sinatra’s famous Loggiato in the heart of the historic city of Ispica. All the shapes, embroideries and weaves of the designed fabrics are inspired by the baroque of the city of Ragusa. These are light, soft dresses with lace and drapes that strongly recall the sartorial tradition of the island. Sicilian lace is consecrated as an iconic element, which has marked and continues to mark the style of Claudio Di Mari.
