Olbia: “There are unclassified councilors in the council”

Olbia. He doesn’t explicitly mention the names but the broadside to the council that governs the city of Ivana Russu it makes the mayor lose his temper Seventh Nizzi. It happened during yesterday’s city council meeting where the budget report was discussed.

“In this council – said Ivana Russu – there are councilors who work and others not classified. Big events are fine but there are many other things that are left behind. It is not so important how much the Municipality collects in taxes but how that money is spent. I wouldn’t be so happy with how your team works – underlined the PD group leader addressing the mayor -, but she probably is but people are starting to realize it. For this reason I ask you to get help and give a wake-up call to some councilors as well as inviting you to reflect on whether the time has come to carry out a reshuffle in the executive”.

For his part, Nizzi responded piquedly without, however, going into the merits of the issue raised by the councilor but mocking her for “not having managed to get elected in the last regional elections”, forgetting that his centre-right lost those elections. Evidently the mayor of Olbia has not yet elaborated on the lesson taught by Todde to the last regional elections.

“Asking for the resignation of a mayor or councilor – urged Ivana Russu – is not lèse majesté, but a prerogative of the opposition. It is my right to raise the problem that there are unclassified councilors, whose names the people of Olbia don’t even know. It is our right to object and we will raise the issue more and more often. I don’t allow the mayor to address me in those ways, also because my personal result of 3,111 preferences is the result of my work and my constant commitment to this city”.
