“Safe school trips”, checks by the Caltanissetta traffic police |

The request for intervention by the school is not mandatory, but it is a service available, underlines a note from the Nissena Police Headquarters. Prevention is basic

The Caltanissetta Traffic Police has resumed carrying out checks on buses about to leave for school trips.

In the spring period, time for school trips, the Caltanissetta Traffic Police is intensifying checks on the buses used to transport students. The checks are part of the “Safe School Trips” project, an initiative of the State Police developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to make school transport during trips safer.

The Traffic Police underlines the responsibilities of the driver who, for the entire duration of the journey, must maintain behavior that respects the rules and does not expose the people transported to risks and invites teachers to report any incorrect behavior on the part of the drivers to the Police. which ones had direct testimony (such as talking on the cell phone, listening to music with earphones, drinking alcohol).

The request for intervention by the Traffic Police by the school is not mandatory, but is a service available, underlines a note from the Caltanissetta Police Headquarters. Educational institutions can report their trips to the Traffic Police or schedule checks along the itinerary, which will be carried out on a random basis, “by sending a written request using the appropriate form”.

Finally, before departure, schools can request the intervention of the Traffic Police to check the means of transport and verify the suitability of the vehicle and driver.
