The “Bettino Padovano” music school pays homage to the genius of Henry Mancini

On April 30th at 9.15 pm on the stage of the Teatro La Fenice in Senigallia the concert of the “Bettino Padovano” Orchestra and Choir entitled “Play it again Henry” will be held. The event is organized by the “Bettino Padovano” School of Music in homage to the genius of Henry Mancini on the centenary of his birth.

Mancini, a legendary American composer and conductor of Italian origins, was the author of some of the most iconic soundtracks of international cinema. His timeless masterpieces “Moon River” (from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”) and the Pink Panther theme, which continue to enchant generations of listeners from all over the world.

Henry Mancini’s repertoire will be performed by an orchestra and a special choir, which unites more than 40 students of all ages and from different educational backgrounds. “The desire to create a tribute concert to Henry Mancini was born to pay homage to a musician who during his career explored many musical genres, from classical to rhythm and blues and then concentrated mainly on film music” says Claudio Zappi, President of the Senigallian music school “It is precisely the transversality of his work to marry perfectly with the ideals of our school, which has always been careful to let its members and citizens experience music at 360 degrees”. The event will be enriched by the texts of the writer Enrico Carli and the participation of some children from the music therapy course of the Oltre La Musica association.
