Fiumicino and Fregene. the blue lines return on the seafront: the ticket has been reactivated

In the historic center of Fiumicino city and on the seafronts of Levante and Ponente of Fregene from tomorrow the payment of the ticket to park in the 1,263 car parks will return. These will be joined by the 138 free ones available to disabled people and for unloading goods. In view of the imminent arrival of the summer season, the public works department of the coastal municipality has accelerated the process of awarding and managing the blue lines until October 30th.

INSTALLATION OF PARKING METERS HAS BEEN STARTED

«It was necessary to reactivate the paid parking spaces that were closed until 31 December 2023 – underlines the deputy mayor, Giovanna Onorati -. In this regard, we are proceeding with the positioning of electronic parking meters. The activation of paid parking will improve the management of the flow of vehicles during the busiest months of the year, especially in our coastal locations. I would like to underline that there will be free parking spaces for electric cars, for disabled people and for loading and unloading goods. For residents of the municipality of Fiumicino, a discount of 50 euros per year is provided, which will allow them to park in free spaces in any municipal location”.

STALL RATES

In the center of Fiumicino city there are 218 reserved stalls and they are all on Via Torre Clementina, where 11 will be dedicated to the loading and unloading of goods and the same number will be reserved for people with disabilities. There are 497 parking spaces with paid parking in Fregene, on the Levante seafront, where 35 parking spaces for disabled people and 35 for unloading goods have also been provided. Finally, 548 paid stalls located on the Ponente seafront, which reserves 23 parking spaces for loading and unloading goods and 23 for people with disabilities. The tariff system does not change, for the first 30 minutes of stoppage it is free, from 30 minutes to 4 hours the tariff is 1 euro/hour. The whole day is 5 euros while the cost of campers is 2 euros/hour, daily 10 euros. For buses it is 10 euros/hour and the daily rate is 50 euros and these rates are valid every day including holidays.
