“The Sant’Egidio peep must be unlocked”

“Mayor Enzo Lattuca greatly emphasized in the city council the adoption of regional strategic lines to solve the housing problem.

In reality, regional lines are just words spent in an attempt to offload everything onto the shoulders of private individuals. The ‘housing’ problem is now chronic in Cesena which has remained without housing policies for years.”

This was stated by the municipal councilors of the League Antonella Celletti (in the photo) and Enrico Sirotti Guadenzi.

“A ‘housing plan’ worthy of the name is the great absence in the plans of the outgoing administration and one of the most striking failures of the PD administrations in recent decades. And it is certainly not a solution to resort to private individuals to provide freehold apartments in exchange of limited contributions and tax breaks which will never be able to absorb all the risks associated with leasing”.

“Lattuca – continue the two councilors – glosses over these difficulties and does not even responsibly address the sensational failure of the Novello urban regeneration project. The centre-right’s proposal is to take back the project of the former Peep of Sant’Egidio, a project already ready with 300 public housing units and put in the drawer by the Democratic Party, but Lattuca appears against it”.
