13th Kòmaros Indoor Dynamic Freediving Trophy in Ancona, the winners

This year too, freediving is back in Ancona with the thirteenth edition of the Kòmaros Indoor Dynamic Freediving Trophy.

On Sunday 21 April the thirteenth KOMAROS DYNAMIC APNEA TROPHY took place in Ancona, at the “Domenico Savio” municipal swimming pool. Team success for Centro Sub Monteconero, second for Kòmaros Sub Ancona, third for Monsub from Jesi, fourth for A2APNEA from Lecce, fifth for H2BO from Bologna and sixth for Sub Tridente from Pesaro.

The competition organized by Kòmaros Sub of Ancona, one of the most active and successful diving companies in Central Italy, always at the forefront in the organization of events involving underwater sports, saw 40 athletes competing representing 6 companies.

The race, valid as a qualification for the Italian championship of the specialty, was also a test for the provincial and regional championships for both men and women.

Particular attention is paid to ensuring the maximum level of safety for participating athletes, from the various categories from young beginners to athletes from the national elite.

The dynamic apnea tests without equipment began at 11.00, in which the athletes must complete as much distance as possible in a free-diving breaststroke.

The category victories went to Alessandro Fucili (Centro Sub Monteconero) with a distance of 138.50 meters in the men’s Elite, Gessica Berrettini (Monsub di Jesi) in the women’s Elite with a distance of 83.70, David Fratini (Monsub di Jesi ) in the first male category, Giulia Frisoli (Kòmaros Sub Ancona) in the second female category, Simone Salvoni (Monsub Jesi) in the second male category, Martina Rovedi (Sub Tridente Pesaro) in the female debutants category and Leidi Runa (Kòmaros Sub Ancona) in the female category male debutants.

Once the competitions without equipment were over, the specialty competitions with fins then began, some athletes chose to compete with two fins, others with a monofin.

These are the winners of the various categories:

Elite female double fins: Zannini Elena (Asd Centro Sub Monte Conero) with the distance of 156.45 metres;

Elite male monofin: Assalve Alessandro (A2apnea ASD) with a distance of 175.00 metres;

Elite men’s double fins: Gattini Dario (Monsub Jesi) with the distance of 187.65 metres;

First female category: Liana Lucchetti (Centro Sub Monteconero);

First male category: Paoletti Stefano (Kòmaros Sub Ancona);

Second female category: D’Ottavio Matilde (ASD Centro Sub Monte Conero);

Second male category: Baldoni Guido (Kòmaros Sub Ancona);

Third male category: Salvatore Fabrizio (Kòmaros Sub Ancona);

Female debutants: Mazzoli Carola (Sub Tridente Silvano Caracchini ASD);

Men’s debutants: Cecapolli Alessandro (Monsub Jesi)

The overall ranking by club, which adds up all the placings of all the athletes, saw Centro Sub Monteconero prevail, Kòmaros Sub Ancona second, Monsub of Jesi third, A2APNEA of Lecce fourth, H2BO of Bologna fifth and Sub sixth Trident of Pesaro.
