The organization explains: «Buenos Aires and Tango have an indissoluble bond, the identity of one gives meaning to the identity of the other, it seems that the city has produced Tango in its evolution, but Tango at the same time has defined his character, his physiognomy, the way he presents himself to the world. Buenos Aires and Tango seem to merge into a single intense feeling, they seek out and feed each other their mutual passion. Sometimes, however, they distance themselves, betray each other and abandon each other with a certain indifference. And then they look for each other again, in this indispensable need to be together. The Somos Tango Company offers in its new show a look at the love story that unites the city of Buenos Aires and Tango, almost as if they were two lovers. The origins of Tango and its evolution become fundamental to understanding a city full of charm and contradictions. Twelve dancers and two actors give life to “Historia de un amor”, where the emotions that this dance, one of a kind, provokes, become the vehicle to discover the culture of a people, the Argentine one, the magic that comes from the city of Buenos Aires and the special bond it has had with Tango since its origins.”
