Subject: Aurelia bis Savona lot II from Corso Ricci to the Savona-Vado toll booth.
I followed the long sequence of unacceptable proposals for the stretch in question, all discarded because they all had a strong impact on the territory, without bringing adequate benefits.
The territory is largely urbanized, and passing a road of a certain level is very difficult, and this meant that, in the end, the “underground” route was chosen, the easiest in terms of design, but also not without problems to solve, such as the lack of depth in the Legino plain, the inconsistent soil, the aquifers, possible problems for the buildings it passes under.
I believe that the route consisting exclusively of a 2940 meter tunnel is very unattractive for a substantially urban road, and from observation of the nearby motorway (yellow colour) it comes naturally to me to think of creating a tunnel of similar length for motorway use (direction from Corso Ricci to the Savona Vado toll booth) and use the motorway lane (direction from the Savona Vado toll booth to Corso Ricci) as Aurelia bis.
Practically all laid out in the open air and with intermediate connections with the territory.
A more interesting road for the area and for those who use it.
