Stock of medals for the rookies and cadets involved yesterday in Castel Maggiore in the national kata Grand Prix, at the federal technical center of Emilia Romagna.
In the competition, in which around 200 athletes from all over Italy took part, 10 cussini divided into different categories participated.

The under 18 nage no kata (forms of projections) saw a strong presence of CUS Siena athletes on the podium, the couple formed by Elia Domenichini And Daniele Gabbriellini they won the gold medal with 232.5 points with a precise and martial execution; the couple made up of Francesco Cosentino And Andrea Giannettoni they ranked second with 224.5 points performing a very technical kata. Too bad for the couple Adelaide Sassetti And Alvise Gallo who by just one point did not reach the lowest step of the podium with 219 points by performing their best kata.
In the Katame no kata (forms of control) under 18 category the couple made up of Leonardo Benza And Daniele Gabbriellini they won the bronze medal with 156 points, in their first experience together, with an elegant and martial kata.
In the ju no kata (forms of compliance) under 18 category the Cussina couple made up of Gaia Nastasi And Emma Nastasi they ranked fourth on equal points with the third-placed teams, but due to a greater number of errors they were overtaken by the Lombard pair with 157.5 points. It’s a shame for the Sienese couple because they had done a beautiful, elegant and fluid execution.

Congratulations to all the athletes who demonstrated great martiality, elegance and determination.
With these excellent results all the athletes have qualified for the Italian kata championships which will take place on Saturday 6 June in Ostia at the Olympic centre, in the Pellicone hall.

In the Kime no kata (forms of decision) A1 category the couple made up of the Venetian Enrico Tommasi and the Sienese Yuri Ferretti they won the gold medal with 540.5 points, winning all four stages of the national grand prix and thus gaining the pass for the European Championship which will take place in Sarajevo on 10 and 11 June.
