ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Nephrology, Medicine and Psychiatric diagnosis and treatment departments of the San Giovanni Evangelista hospital in Tivoli, together with the Radiology, Immunohematology and Transfusion Medicine services, were reopened this morning in compliance with the timetable presented one month ago by the president of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca. In fact, the work planned by the local health authority Roma 5, with the Lazio Region, continues to overcome the emergency following the fire that broke out between 8 and 9 December 2023 in the hospital. These are essential health services aimed at restoring the health offer of San Giovanni Evangelista, which has already been able to count, for a month, on the Dialysis department, the outpatient clinics, the oncology day hospital and the First Aid Point. The timetable also includes the gradual reopening of the general surgery department, the analysis laboratory, the operating block of the A and B wings, the intensive care department, the birth center, the haemodynamics department and, finally, the emergency room of the hospital. .
In terms of safety, however, the technological park was certified and the progressive adaptation to European fire safety regulations was arranged, both of the hospital departments and of nine elevators and of the Rei fire doors. The centralized fire detection system will also be active shortly. “Reopening the San Giovanni Evangelista hospital in Tivoli safely was and remains our priority. We are maintaining our commitment to the citizens. We will continue to monitor the works in compliance with the timetable , but we must not chase obsession: never a day less for the safety of our citizens.
