“We need roads, sidewalks and sports”

The project to listen to the territory, hamlets and capital, launched by the League of Rovigo, continues. Militants and supporters met yesterday morning in Granzette, led by the outgoing group leader in the city council Michele Aretusini and by the secretary of the Rovigo section Riccardo Ruggero. Valeria Cittadin was also presentcandidate for mayor of the center-right of Rovigo in the local elections of 8 and 9 June.

A morning of dialogue with the residents of Granzette, satisfied with the opportunity to have someone to address requests, reports and complaints to. “The feeling – explain Aretusini and Ruggero – is that here too, as, unfortunately, in other hamlets we visited, we are faced with areas forgotten by the Gaffeo administration. You can see it right from the ‘little things'”.

Most of the residents’ requests for intervention centered precisely on these situations. “They reported to us – Aretusini and Ruggero continue – the need to fix the road signs, to carry out maintenance on the pavements, to complete them where it has not yet been done, to recover the sports field which, at the moment, is in a state of abandonment, before proceeding to assign the management to some of the interested companies. A similar discussion for the gym, for which we cannot continue to proceed with ‘patches’: it is time for an organic and complete intervention”. And he continues: “Many people then spoke to us about the need to create the connecting strap between via Federico Bazzan and via Cavalletto, as well as the state of via Chiarugidevastated after some interventions relating to the gas lines”.

“As you can see – conclude Ruggero and Aretusini – nothing infeasible, on the contrary”.
