live life as a protagonist” – Lavocediasti.it

After online publication “Bruno Ferraris: living the story as a protagonist”the Bruno Ferraris Foundation of Asti has produced, following the suggestions of readers and thanks to unpublished writings made available by his nephew Mauro Squillari, a book published by Araba Fenice.

The volume, edited by Tonino Fassone, Pino Goria, Laura Nosenzo and Mauro Squillari, will be presented on Monday 29 April, at 5.30 pm, at Fuoriluogo (free admission). Moderated by Sergio Miravalle.

In the book, to the chapters on memories and historical narratives, already published on the website (fondazionebrunoferraris.it) just under a year ago, a part has been added that recalls the moments of the great choices of Ferraris’ youth: participation in the Resistance and very early years of political life.

The added parts complete the story of a long political parable and start from his youthful years with the chapter “From Salesian youth to anti-fascism”, which recalls the period in which Bruno Ferraris, a Salesian student, lived in the days following the fall of fascism and then the birth of the partisan gangs in the Asti area, and continues with the chapter “At the school of Togliatti executives” with its “themes” at the party school in 1950 which expose the reasons for joining the PCI and narrate the experiences of political life already had.

The story of his youthful years in the partisan movement and then in the communist party illuminates with a particular light the memories and stories that make up the book, enriched by many photographs, on the long journey of Bruno Ferraris’ life, entirely dedicated to politics.
