Yesterday, the operations center of the Bolzano police headquarters received a request for urgent intervention from a citizen via the emergency number “112 NUE”, reporting that an individual was trying to forcefully enter the passenger compartment of a truck from emptying of the glass collection bells in via Cagliari in Bolzano, and that the driver of the truck was barely holding him back, to prevent him from stealing the truck.
The applicant, specifically, reported having noticed what was described while passing through via Cagliari towards Palermo bridge. Realizing what was happening, he pulled over his motorbike and went to the rescue of the driver of the vehicle.
Having arrived on site in a few moments, two patrols from the “Flying” Squad of the State Police immediately proceeded to immobilize the robber and make him climb into the panther, before taking him to the police station.
The driver of the vehicle, in an attempt to oppose the robbery of the truck also with the help of the motorcyclist who in the meantime had requested police intervention, was hit with a headbutt in the mouth by the robber, resulting in the breaking of a tooth, which she was later treated at the Emergency room of the city hospital.
The stranger – MT, 25 years old, Tunisian citizen with numerous criminal and police records for crimes of various nature and severity – very agitated, in the police headquarters he tried in every way to harm himself, in order to avoid prison, but without success.
At the end of the Judicial Police proceedings, in fact, MTwas arrested for attempted aggravated robberypersonal injury and resistance to a public official, and then taken to the local prison.
In consideration of the seriousness of what happened and the precedents against him, the police commissioner of the Province of Bolzano against MT Paolo Sartori has issued a decree of expulsion from the national territory, which will be executed at the end of the judicial process
