In the “Photography” section, among the awarded shots, in third place was that of Federico Ventura titled “Black gold” made on 30 March 2024 in Canosa di Puglia during the procession of Sorry. Two other shots are on display, one by Anna Lisi entitled “Veiled Women” and the other “Legàmi nel Buio” taken by Federico Ventura who won in the “Video” section with the procession of the Desolata di Canosa di Puglia. Recognition also goes to the video by Simone Angarano entitled “Without breath and voice” made on the morning of March 30, 2024 in Canosa. This year too, the Solemn Procession of the Desolate it was one of the religious rites of Holy Week in Puglia, most photographed and filmed by video cameras with services that are participating in various contests such as the one “Living Light” . The photo contest “Living Light” was won by Domenico Belfiore with the shot “Il crocifero” taken in Noicattaro on 30 March 2024.
The exhibition “Living Light”, free entry, at the Sala dei Templari, in Piazza Municipio n.32 in Molfetta, it will remain open until April 28th on the following days: from Tuesday to Friday, from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm; Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00. Since 2020, in Puglia Regional Law n.8 considers the rites and processions of Holy Week as its intangible heritage. In implementation of the convention of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), for the protection of intangible cultural heritage, the Puglia Region protects and enhances the processions and rites of Holy Week, contributing to their conservation and promotion, in order to guarantee its widest diffusion.
