FOGGIA – A kilo of hashish was found by the penitentiary police inside the Foggia prison. This was communicated by Pasquale Montesano, general secretary of the Osapp union. The narcotic was discovered yesterday afternoon near the sports field of the detention facility where the prisoners’ recreational activity was taking place. He was inside a clutch bag hidden in a cavity. According to what the officers reconstructed, it would have been thrown from the outside.
«In this circumstance – underlines Montesano – we cannot fail to highlight how the prison police in Puglia, particularly in Foggia, are suffering the discomfort of an overall organization that does not work, understaffed and given little attention by politics and the prison administration. We ask for an immediate increase in staff from the next assignments of the 183rd course for Puglia and for Foggia in particular”.
