A city walk of about an hour and a half with an itinerary in the heart of the historic center starting from Piazza della Badia, set of the famous “Good morning princess!” and the fatal meeting between Guido (Roberto Benigni) and Dora (Nicoletta Braschi) and passes through Via Cavour to arrive in Piazza San Francesco in the famous Caffè dei Costanti, with a view of the Basilica of San Francesco and its frescoes by Piero. From here to Piazza Grande, where “Life is beautiful” resonates in every corner: it is in this square that the scene chosen as the film’s poster was shot, the descent by bicycle of Guido, Dora and little Giosuè. Under the Logge Vasari we will remember the romantic walks of Guido and Dora, under the balconies of the square the night scene of Benigni shouting “Maria, the key!”. The “cinematic” walk continues up to the Cathedral on whose steps the scene of the vintage car under the storm was filmed and in the portico of the Provincial Palace. A film tourism route which wants to offer Arezzo people and tourists the opportunity to experience the places that were the backdrop to this timeless film production with more and less well-known glimpses of the historic center.
