Orsara of Puglia. At around 04:00, in Corso della Vittoria in Orsara di Puglia (Fg), unknown individuals perpetrated a criminal act which blew up the ATM of the BPER bank branch without a counter.
The use of a rudimentary device, known as a “marmot”, caused extensive damage to the device and the surrounding structure.
The area was immediately isolated and placed under strict surveillance by the competent authorities, while the material damage caused by the explosion will have to be carefully assessed. The police, led by the Carabinieri, promptly started investigations to trace the perpetrators of this vile gesture. The analysis of images from video surveillance systems could provide valuable information to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
Beyond the material damage caused by the explosion, the incident has generated a widespread sense of concern and fear among residents, who now find themselves reflecting on the implications of such a manifestation of violence in their daily context.
