There were representatives of the Hyblaean entrepreneurial world from every sector. Mayors, councilors and municipal councilors of the cities in the district. Private citizens and non-profit associations. In short, the Hyblaean community responded as best it could to the meeting called yesterday in the Caffè Moak conference room concerning, among others, the future of the SEZs, the provision of contributions by the Region, the improvement of the infrastructures and the increase in the employment rate. At the speakers’ table the regional councilor for Productive Activities, Edy Tamajo, the president of the 1st Institutional Affairs Commission, Ignazio Abbate, the Mayor of Modica, Maria Monisteri and the representatives of the Cna with the territorial president of Ragusa Giuseppe Santocono, with the secretary territorial Carmelo Caccamo and with the delegate for Southern Italy, Crimi. Also present were the General Director of the Productive Activities Department, Carmelo Frittitta, the Irsap Commissioner Marcello Gualdani and the Asi Commissioner Salvatore Nicotra.

“I thank Councilor Tamajo – comments the Hon. Abbate – who, despite the many commitments at the moment, strongly wanted to be present as well as the commissioners, the Cna, the mayor of Modica and the political representatives of the area and all the entrepreneurs who followed the conference with interest. We have presented the new infrastructure plan which will concern a large part of our province with important investments which concern in particular the connecting roads between the fundamental traffic junctions, such as the airport, port and motorway toll booths. Some works are planned such as the Bugilfezza – S.Giovanni al Prato in the Modica ring road, the link between Comiso airport and Ss 514, the Ispica – Pozzallo. We presented the employment incentives which concern the transformation of contracts from fixed-term to permanent and from part-time to full-time and which provide for the provision of contributions of up to 40 thousand euros for each work unit. And also the strategies for the expansion of artisan areas with reliefs for the expansion or redevelopment of existing premises. An extremely profitable evening, a moment of functional discussion for the coordination between politics, trade associations and entrepreneurs for the development of our territory”.
