These are the initiatives planned in Terni for 25 April 2024, Liberation Day.
At 10.00 am on Thursday 25 April, in the Council Room of the Municipality of Terni, the institutional ceremonyand to follow, at 10.30, the processionwhich will run from Palazzo Spada to Piazza della Repubblica near the plaque to the fallen of the Gramsci Brigade, to the Monument to the Resistancers at the Rotonda dei Partigiani, up to the Monument to the Fallen in Piazza Briccialdi.
In the afternoon the “13 June” section organizes the third edition of Streets of Freedom: to celebrate and collectively remember the Liberation, the streets of Terni will be walked through to bring a flower and place information cards, remember and listen to the stories and songs of anti-fascists and partisans, at the street plaques that remember those who fought for peace , democracy and freedom. The departure appointment is at 4.00 pm in Piazza Bruno Buozzi, and the arrival is expected around 5.45 pm at the Belvedere 13 Giugno; at the end a small aperitif will be organized to end the Liberation celebrations together.
During the walk, the partisan songs studied in the “Canti di Libertà” seminar will also be sung, organized in collaboration with the vocal group “Ticchetettà” and Valentino Ceccobelli.
