Inauguration of the Roccadaspide Community Hospital on Monday 22nd — Gazzetta di Salerno

Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11.30 amin Roccadaspide – via S.Palomba near the hospital, theinauguration of the city’s community hospital.

This is the first community hospital in the territorial network planned by the ASL Salerno, according to the provisions of Ministerial Decree 70/2015 and Ministerial Decree 77/2022.

The Vicar General of the Diocese of Vallo della Lucania, Monsignor Francesco Pecoraro, will bless the new structure.

What is Community Hospital:

It is a territorial structure mainly managed by nurses, intended for patients who require medium/low clinical intensity care and for short-term stays.

It is part of the company’s territorial network, since it is a district-managed structure, although inserted within the hospital. It will therefore perform an intermediate function between the home and hospital admission, but will also serve to facilitate the transition of patients from acute hospital facilities to home.

Here general practitioners, nurses and OSS will provide care for chronic patients using basic diagnostic equipment. The Roccadaspide CB will be equipped, when fully operational, with twenty beds, which will be added to those already available at the local hospital.
