Lombardy, 18.5 million euro tender for ‘agri-environmental’ interventions

Brescia. Opens Tuesday 30 April announcement which it makes available to agricultural companies 18.5 million euros to finance ‘agri-environmental’ interventions in Lombardy as part of the 2023-2027 CAP.
«We want to promote the introduction and maintenance of agricultural practices with low environmental impact – declares the Lombardy Region Councilor for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests – by proposing production models that are more attentive to a sustainable use of resources such as water and soil, safeguarding biodiversity, enhancing the agricultural landscape and promoting the conservation of native animal breeds”.

Applications can be submitted until May 15, 2024 and funding will be activated for the following actions:

SRA01: integrated production;
SRA03: reduced soil tillage techniques;
SRA06: cover crops;
SRA08: management of meadows and permanent pastures;
SRA10: active management of ecological infrastructures;
SRA14: breeders custodians of agrobiodiversity;
SRA19: reduction in the use of pesticides;
SRA22: specific rice field commitments;
SRA29: payment to adopt and maintain organic production practices and methods.
Expansion of the number of interventions

«With this announcement – ​​continues the councilor – we have chosen to expand, compared to last year, the number of interventions, activating those dedicated to integrated production, the active management of ecological infrastructures, the reduction of the use of pesticides, as well as inserting a new action on rice fields. A choice that takes on great strategic importance in a context of professional agriculture such as that of Lombardy.”
