In Agrigento at the PalaCongressi the awards ceremony took place for the city’s high school students who participated in the competition “Water that creates, water that destroys: between myth and reality”, promoted by the Inner Wheel of Agrigento, a club involved in promotion of cultural and social initiatives in the area. Speaking on the topic of sustainable management of water resources were the president of the Club, Lea Cesarani, the governor of District 211, Mara Tocco Romeo, and Patrizia Di Giovanni, of the Valle dei Templi Park Authority. Aica, chaired by Settimio Cantone, offered three deserving students a training internship in the company. The projects developed by the students were presented by the journalist Domenico Vecchio. The secretary of the club, Marcella Riccobono, read the reasons for the awards given to the winning students of the Sciascia, Fermi, Gallo, Leonardo, Politi and Empedocle institutes and high schools.

Ruoppolo’s lookalike, Angelo Joppolo, alias Alessandro Pappacoda, was the protagonist of the successful and popular column “Camera Zhen”, broadcast on Teleacras, and of the Christmas film “Scratch and Run”, with a very crowded “premiere” at the Cine Astor of Agrigento. His videos on YouTube have almost 30 million total views as of June 2023. He was awarded several prizes including: “Sipario d’Oro”, “Alessio Di Giovanni”, “Mimosa d’Oro”, “Pippo Montalbano”.
