Unstable and variable weather conditions persist in Italy, with even phases of bad weather, due to the passage of rapid disturbances accompanied by intense ventilation and cold air, with a temperature shock whose effects are more evident due to the recent climate summer.
This thermal situation is destined to last at least until the first part of next week, with lower than normal values, more accentuated in night-time lows and during precipitation episodes. In particular, during this weekend Italy will be grappling with two disturbances: the first will give rise to a marked intensification of the wind today and will mainly affect the central regions, part of the South and Emilia Romagna, with rain, thunderstorms and snowfall in the Apennines. The second will bring a worsening in the second part of Sunday in the North, also in this case with snowfall at unusually low altitudes in the Alps and northern Apennines. The alternation between disturbed passages and pauses with more stable weather will result in a fluctuating trend in temperatures.

Today clouds in the morning over the eastern Alps and central regions, with showers and some thunderstorms in the Center. Large clearings elsewhere. In the afternoon, widespread instability in Venice, Emilia Romagna, central regions and southern Italy, with locally intense showers and thunderstorms and the risk of hail; snowfall on the Venetian Prealps and the Apennines between 1300 and 1500 metres. The sunny spells persist in the North-West, in Calabria and the Islands. In the evening still unstable in the middle Adriatic and in the South. Temperatures rising in the South and in Sicily, stable elsewhere. Northern winds intensifying again: Foehn in the Alps and in the North-West; Tramontana in Liguria, Bora on the upper Adriatic and Mistral on the Major Islands. Very rough or rough seas.
