The Monza Team eSports wrote another page of history by winning the 2024 TIM eSerie A.
Represented by Lucio “HhezerS” Vecchione, the red and whites won another trophy after their victory in last year’s Super Cup. The team also won €17,000 in prize money and gained direct entry to the eChampions League and World Cup.
Vecchione was the undisputed protagonist of the Final Eight, which took place on 18-19 April in Verona, confirming once again that he is one of the best European players.
In the quarter-finals Monza achieved a convincing 4-2 victory against Cagliari. However, it was in the next round that HhezerS provided the most intense emotions. In the semi-final, against Luconegua’s Torino, one of the fittest players of the tournament, the match was enthralling. After taking a 3-2 lead, Vecchione was put back together in the second half, finding himself behind. Just when it seemed that the situation was compromised, HhezerS gave his best and with two close goals he achieved victory.
The double match in the final against Fiorentina was completely one-sided in favor of the red and whites, with Vecchione winning first the first leg 9-3 and then the second leg 6-2. It’s a party in the red and white house!
