Yesterday, according to the administration, the first meeting of what should be the discussion table with the Besta Committee took place… without the Besta Committee, but with the committee of those in favor!
In fact, in recent days the Committee has requested the administration several times to receive the necessary documents for a serious discussion, Palazzo D’Accursio has chosen to ignore this request to present the documents directly during the meeting.
It seems like we are faced, for the umpteenth time, at the tables where everything has already been decided but the municipality must give a touch of “participation” to the process. This time, however, we find ourselves faced with a strong and combative Committee that rejects the logic of fake participation.
As we have done and will continue to do, we support the Committee’s choice not to participate in this farce meeting, also denouncing the presence of the elusive committee in favor of the project, created a few weeks ago with the sole purpose of acting as a crutch for the Democratic Party.
At neighborhood level, the council was finally convened after a quarter, but President Locascio took on the responsibility of not questioning the agenda proposed by the opposition already at the beginning of February, questioning only the agenda of the majority .
According to Potere al Popolo councilor Francesca Fortuzzi: “It is serious that technical excuses are used to remove the point of view of those in the opposition from the discussion, the theft of democracy is not against PaP or other opposition groups. It is to the detriment of an entire neighborhood that has the right to an open discussion and instead receives continuous closures from the majority and its President Locascio“.
