Ancisi (List for Ravenna): “Indecent chaos on the Ronco: greenhouses and plastic tanks”

A citizen resident in Madonna dell’Albero reported to Lista per Ravenna that on the floodplain part of the right bank of the Ronco river, in the urban stretch of Ravenna between the southern ring road (Adriatic state road) and the Assi bridge (on the Ravegnana near of the confluence of the Ronco with the Montone river), there are large vegetable gardens fenced with wire mesh, in which large greenhouses and plastic tanks are installed, some of which have large volumes.
The questions asked by the citizen: “Is it legal? In the event of a river flood, all the material ends up in the river and creates an obstacle in the passage of water under the bridges with the risk of flooding which unfortunately we are well aware of. Is it possible that no one noticed, given that the banks have recently been subject to cleaning and uprooting of trees and shrubs?”.

Adds Alvaro Ancisi, group leader of Lista per Ravenna, who will present a question time on the topic in the city council: “Since everything was redone after the flood, the previous material, already ended up en masse in the sea, could have spilled herbicides, fertilizers, oils and fuels. It is therefore high time that these indecent settlements were disciplined.
The Municipality of Ravenna has recently approved the Urban Implementation Plan (PUA) called “River park between the two rivers”, whose northern area is located along the right bank of the Ronco river up to, partially, the base of the right bank of the Rivers United, and the southern area is along the same Ronco embankment up to the “French Column”. It would therefore be good to clarify how much the relevant authorities consider this project compatible with the chaotic upheaval of the banks mentioned above.
I ask the mayor for answers and clarifications on what was asked and observed.”
