The anticipation and adrenaline are rising in view of the final act of the A2 playoffs. After a memorable season that managed to excite even the least passionate about volleyball, now coach Ortenzi’s boys must continue to grit their teeth.

The final duel is indeed upon us given that tomorrow at 6pm the Pala Grotta hosts game 1 of the playoff final between Yuasa Battery and Emma Villas Siena, so it is not really the time to relax on our laurels. The yellow and blue will then be called to play the return match which is scheduled for Thursday 25 April at 7pm in Siena. Then the possible race23 again in Grottazzolina, but three days later, Sunday 28 April.

In short, just a few days to decide who will move up to the Super League.

Once the battle against Ravenna hastily been shelved, here is the Tuscan squadron knocking on the door. Anticipation skyrocketing like never before and it couldn’t be otherwise, in just a few hours the presale tickets for season ticket holders and organized fans were literally pulverized, with the right of first refusal being exercised en masse.

In these hours the very last remaining tickets for the match against Siena are on sale on the vivaticket.com circuit and in the six authorized retailers.

Precisely to try to facilitate the many fans who are still looking for tickets, the club opens the box office of the sports hall both on Saturday (from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 8pm) and on Sunday morning (from 10am to 1pm), with around a hundred fans expected from Siena. There is an entire territory that is following the exploits of coach Ortenzi’s boys with great involvement, regardless of age group or passion for volleyball.

An unprecedented warmth for Grottazzolina, supported not only by a large audience of enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts, but also by all the main institutions.

In game 3 against Ravenna the new prefect of Fermo, Edoardo D’Alascio was in the stands alongside the mayor Alberto Antognozzi, greatly appreciating the level of organization put in place by the M&G Volleyball School. The Prefect himself, at the end of the match, wanted to greet every single player of both Yuasa and Consar, and also awarded libero Andrea Marchisio, together with other mayors, as the best player of the evening.

Maximum attention and concentration at Yuasa battery with the aim of leaving nothing to chance in the preparation for the main event.

“Against Ravenna – says spiker Claudio Cattaneo – our audience was the extra weapon and allowed us to overcome all the difficulties. Against Ravenna our supporters – says Cattaneo – never gave up. We put a lot of heart into it even in the most difficult moments.”

But we are looking to the near future: “I am very excited – Cattaneo continues –: against Siena I will play my first final, it is a dream come true. It will be very difficult against Emma Villas. We are here, our public is ready. We can’t wait to get on the field.”
