Sanremo. The appeal from the Fratelli d’Italia municipal councilor is still awaiting response from the Administration. Ethel Morenoso that an urgent meeting can be set up, aimed at providing families with all the information regarding the methods of starting the educational assistance service necessary for disabled children and young people to attend the summer centres.
«At the request of the Angsa Imperia Aps and numerous interested families, I wanted to bring to the attention of the Administration the serious hardship that families with disabled children have been experiencing since March 10, the date on which the Polisportiva Dilettantistica Integrabili communicated to them not to be able, this summer, to carry out the summer center activity which around sixty families used” writes councilor Ethel Moreno in a note
«Since, following the aforementioned communication, all the initially verbal and then written requests, by the Angsa Imperia Aps and the families, to be summoned to receive information on how the Administration intended to guarantee the service remained without any feedback, I asked for a meeting to be set up quickly, because I believe it is necessary to give certain information to all those involved who need to know if and in what way their children and young people will be able to attend the summer centers this summer” .
«The request – he concludes – is not only aimed at communicating to interested parties the timing and methods of launching an essential service both for children and for parents who must be able to fulfill their work commitments but also to deal with them, in a structured and positive, to understand their needs and make choices together that can protect and guarantee the right to inclusion and socialization which – in my opinion – can be implemented by involving all the summer centers that operate in our territory, ensuring, on the part of the Municipality , the reimbursement of expenses incurred for the assistance of disabled students within certain times or by directly assuming the cost of assistants”.
