Trento Chamber of Commerce: green light for the 2023 final budget with a deficit of 2 million euros

During the meeting of the Council of the Trento Chamber of Commerce which took place yesterday, the 2023 financial statements were unanimously approved, which entailed charges for 15,849,702.90 euros and proceeds for 17,943,862.57 euros.

The result is a I advance of 2,094,159.67, which will strengthen the organisation’s capital structure and which will allow it to deal with any emergencies – as already happened following the crisis triggered by the pandemic – and plan further, substantial initiatives in favor of the Trentino business system , without questioning its economic solidity.

In 2023, in a geopolitical and economic context that is anything but comforting, the Chamber of Commerce has implemented a series of initiatives to support and encourage the development of Trentino businessesimplementing, for example, the amount of contributions paid through the publication of specific notices, supporting digitalisation, training, school-work alternation and organizing promotional activities to adequately valorise the excellence of the territory.

It was also deemed useful to propose opportunities for in-depth analysis and discussion to businesses and trade associations, planning two meetings, called “CamLab – Dialogues on business and innovation”, focused on the dynamics that are transforming the world of organizations and on the importance of evolving towards sustainable production systems.

In this regard, again in 2023, the Trento Chamber of Commerce acquired, the first chamber of commerce in Italy, certification for full compliance with environmental, social and safety criteria governance (ESG).

As regards the aspects relating to the organisation’s sources of financing, with the Decree of the Ministry of Enterprise and the made in Italy was authorizedincrease in the annual fee of 20% for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025which allowed the creation of the two system projects proposed by the Chamber of Commerce Council to support the local entrepreneurial fabric and called “The double transition: digital and ecological” and “Job training.

With reference to the inter-institutional context, the collaboration established with the autonomous Province of Trento and sanctioned with the signing of theProgram agreementwhich over the past year has been enriched with a further operational area.

This is the need to act jointly to prevent illegal phenomena, linked to organized crime in the economic field, formalized with the insertion of a new article created ad hoc and aimed at exchanging knowledge and information on the basis of a structured program of interventions.

Still on the subject of the Program Agreement, work has been intensified on the administrative simplification and dematerialisation of procedures, thanks to the further implementation of the One stop shop for productive activities (the so-called SUAP) with other sectors of interest for businesses.
