Sunday at the ‘Rambaldi’ art gallery in Coldirodi the ceremony in honor of the ‘Righteous’ – Sanremonews.it

On Sunday at 11.30, in the green spaces of the ‘Rambaldi’ art gallery in Coldirodi in Sanremo, an important ceremony will be held in honor of the ‘Righteous’, men and women who, in dramatic moments of history, were able to choose the good, interrupting the chain of bad.

This is an initiative that the IC Sanremo Ponente, Coldirodi complex, has been carrying out for four years now, thanks to the support and collaboration of the Municipality of Sanremo, in the person of the Councilor for Culture Silvana Ormea and Gariwo – Foresta dei Giusti . This year the beautiful figure of Wangari Muta Maathai (1940-2011), Kenyan, biologist, environmentalist, who in 2004 received the Nobel Peace Prize will be honoured.

A plaque will be placed in his memory and a pink pepper tree will be planted, kindly donated by the Sanremo Matutia Lions Club. Every year, around this initiative, the whole country has rallied more and more with the Famija Culantina, the Parish of S. Sebastiano, the Band, the Padre Semeria Institute. All thanks to the project carried out by Roberto Rizzo and Flavio Di Malta with the Acli Sanremo and San Martino and the many volunteers, ‘collantini’ and otherwise.
