Ragusa, Chiavola (Pd): “Still no news on the Ibla multi-storey car park, study alternative solutions”
Descriptive text here

“We hoped that among the public works announced the other day by the mayor, there could also be the Discesa Peschiera multi-storey car park. The legitimate hopes of the residents of the ancient city, however, have once again been dashed. As well as those, equally legitimate, of tourists and visitors who, faced with a reality that will see the number of presences increase in the coming days, will probably be forced to deal with the usual problems”.

This is said by the municipal councilor of the Democratic Party of Ragusa, Mario Chiavola, who adds: “Far be it from me to carry forward sterile criticism, the objective we set ourselves is to be proactive and try to understand if it is possible, instead of the car park in question, which evidently, from what is easy to perceive, is unlikely to see the light of day in the short term, study alternative solutions. Furthermore, regarding parking, I remember that in the past there had been mayors who were ready to speak with higher institutions and became protagonists of “journeys of hope”, let’s call them that, to Rome rather than to Palermo to obtain answers on certain projects to be implemented for the good of the community. I would then add that it would be useful to find spaces with which to further implement the available stalls. Furthermore, we can’t wait for the Largo San Paolo car park to be opened, again a complex gestation given that, periodically, the completion of the works is announced but, in fact, it has not yet opened its doors. Let’s hope, therefore, that this could, instead, be the right time. One thing is certain. On Ibla, you must always keep your attention high. Because we are talking about one of the jewels of our city. And we must do everything possible to support its growth in the appropriate way. So some proactive solicitation, every now and then, is also right to exist.”
