Vlahovic and Yildiz save Allegri, Bremer flops, Luvumbo unleashes

An own goal avoids the Juventus shipwreck in Sardinia. Down by two goals, due to penalties converted by Gaetano and Mina, the Juventus catch the Cagliari at the Unipol Domus thanks to a super free kick by Vlahovic and to theDossena’s own goal from Yildiz’s cross. Allegri is saved by the skin of his teeth, Ranieri is bitter after a narrow victory in the Cesarini area. Bad Bremer, irrepressible Luvumbo. Cagliari-Juventus, the key to the match

Ranieri with 3-4-1-2: Gaetano is in the attacking midfield to trigger Luvumbo and Shomurodov. The main innovation in Juventus is represented by the use of Alcaraz from the first minute. On attack Church alongside Vlahovic. Cagliari started strong and created three chances in the first 15 minutes. The Sardinians have another step compared to the Bianconeri, with Luvumbo who puts the visiting rearguard into crisis with his outbursts. Soon after penalty for the Sardinians: header from Dossena e Bremer’s high arm, Piccinini is called back to the VAR and assigns the penalty. Give it eleven metres Gaeatano isn’t wrong. At 34′ another penalty for Cagliari: Shomurodov verticalizes for Luvumbo who burns Gatti; Szczesny on his way out overwhelms the Angolan striker and Piccinini has no doubts. Vlahovic did well, at his sixteenth seal in the championship with the house specialty: the free kick. We had to go two goals down to see Chiesa and Yildiz together: it is no coincidence that Juve scored twice.

Juventus, what didn’t work

Nightmare first half, the worst since the start of the season. Allegri’s team was outclassed physically and tactically by Ranieri’s eleven, who from the start showed that they had more desire, more hunger.

• Szczesny 5.5: With the defensive trio in disarray he is forced to intervene with harsh methods to stem the overflowing Luvumbo. The result? Penalty and yellow card.
• Cats 5: In Willy the Coyote version when Beep Beep Luvumbo darts in front of him before being run over by Szczesny.
• Bremer 4.5: And not just for the penalty caused for a wide arm. The Brazilian doesn’t guess one.

• Vlahovic 7: Score an offside goal in the first half. However, the super punishment with which he shortens the distance is very regular.
• Church 6: After an hour of play without high pitches, with a flick of his team he earns the free kick from which Vlahovic’s goal comes.

Top and flop for Cagliari

• Luvumbo 7.5: Demonic. He torments his opponents every time he puts his foot down on the accelerator. The shot with which he burns Gatti is crazy, forcing Szczesny to foul the second penalty.
• Gaeatano 7: Last of the backups in Napoli, decisive against Cagliari: he displaces Szczesny from the spot and that’s four goals in eight games with the rossoblù.
• Shomurodov 6.5: The former Roma player doesn’t score but he scores. The verticalization with which he triggers the unleashed Luvumbo, knocked down by Szczesny, is marvelous.
• Mine 6.5: First seal in Serie A for the expert Colombian defender, who displaces Juve’s Polish number one from eleven meters.
• Sulemana 5.5: The less brilliant of the glittering Cagliari designed by Sir Claudio.
• Scuffet 5.5: Wrong positioning of the barrier on Vlahovic’s free kick. And he also lets himself be surprised by Vlahovic’s poisonous trajectory.
• Dossena 5: He gets the penalty with the imperious header that leads to Bremer’s touch of the arm. But he ruins his performance with the unfortunate own goal to make it 2-2.
