I read the article relating to the opening of Palazzo Perticari to the public only two days ago. My adventure in Palazzo Perticari was born out of a specific desire to share with my fellow citizens spaces organized and dedicated to the art, a desire that remains increasingly alive. After the inauguration, following the completion of the restoration work on the building, work began on the preparation of the art history library and the exhibition rooms which today house part of my collection of paintings and ceramics. The installations are finished and we are also almost at the end of the work to adapt the safety systems and the necessary and indispensable certifications for public access to the structure. The goal is about to be reached with the first opening scheduled for June 3rd which will be widely highlighted starting from early May. This first appointment will be marked by the ceremony during which the exhibition rooms will be dedicated to Costanza Monti Perticari, Giulio’s wife, of whom we know the great human and cultural qualities and also, unfortunately, the sad story and the events that saw her, innocent, involved in the city of Pesaro at the beginning of the 19th century. It has always been a strong desire of mine for this young woman to return to Pesaro, even after 200 years, with a big hug from the city which at the time did not have too much respect or sensitivity towards her. There will be a moment of narration and debate which will take place in the auditorium, kindly granted, of the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation and then continue with the inauguration and visit to Palazzo Perticari.
