“Rotunda with abandoned string Symphony, we wanted to adopt it but the municipality said no…”

Letters to the editor – The association Ex facchini di Santa Rosa writes

Viterbo – Abandoned string symphony

Angelo Russo

Viterbo – We receive and publish – Dear director Galeotti,

we read the heartfelt denunciation of the creator of Sinfonia d’archi Angelo Russo, in which he highlights the state of abandonment of a part of the machine, positioned in a roundabout in Poggino, in front of the warehouse where it was built and where it was made the flow test many years ago (1991-1997),

For the sake of reference, we remember the creator was Angelo Russo and the builder Vincenzo Battaglioni, who modified the base to allow for better “gripping” or the modification of the tufts and finally the measurement of the porters: shoulder and tuft.

Well, reading what was stated hurts a lot, because in this association there are many members who have had the honor of bringing the Symphony of Strings.

We have officially asked the municipality of Viterbo to assign us the roundabout to allow constant cleaning and best maintain the piece of the present machine.

We were told no.

As an association we will arrange the space in the next few days, so that the memory of our history does not go into oblivion.

If we are fined for carrying out an activity not expected of ordinary citizens, we will be very happy to pay the fine.

With deep respect

Former porters of Santa Rosa
