Anpi president Gianfranco Pagliarulo denounced “an authoritarian involution” in the country when he stopped to respond to journalists on the sidelines of an event on Liberation Day that the University for Foreigners organized with the same partisan association.
“I see an excessive use of the truncheon against demonstrations – he explains –, I see that there are more and more dangers for peace and finally I see that we want to move forward with the premiership, the law of those who only want the man in command ”.Pagliarulo pointed out that presidentialism was the law desired by the Italian social movement and also that the autonomy of universities, places of research and culture, is threatened, in his opinion, “by a repression desired by the Ministry of the Interior, and therefore by the Government”. The clashes at Sapienza University a few days ago are central to today’s initiative. The ANPI summit spoke about it, just as the rector of the University for Foreigners Tomaso Montanari also tried to address the issue. “Being challenged is nice – he said -. I believe that students should think for themselves.”
