Botanical invasions, the heart of Cremona shines again

CREMONA – Today marks the great day of the return, to the heart of Cremona, of the Botanical Invasions, the large market exhibition which for two days, until tomorrow evening, will enliven the center bringing citizens closer to the world of ‘green, outside and inside the home’ culture. This 15th edition, in which eighty exhibitors from all over Italy will also participate, was organized by Confcommercio Cremona with Botteghe del Centro, SGP Grandi Eventi, the newspaper La Provincia, PubliA with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Cremona and the Duc, Urban Commerce District, sponsor of the Cremona Po shopping centre.

There are many expectations, also because it is one of the events that, since its debut, has constantly grown, carving out a place of absolute importance in the national panorama. The heart of the event will be between Corso Garibaldi, Corso Campi and the public gardens: a single large flowered carpet made with colorful and highly scented wisteria bunches, seasonal, aromatic, succulent and succulent flowering plants, English roses in pots, clematis, passion flowers, gardenias, camellias, hydrangeas and carnivorous plants.

Among the appointments indicated by Christian Ratsartistic director of the event, the presentation of the book ‘my green space’ by Gian Marco Mapelli (today at 5pm in the gardens), the reading workshop for the little ones (tomorrow at 5pm, at the Giunti bookshop), the photographic exhibition of Anna Maccabelli (Saturday and Sunday at the Ponchielli bookshop), the homage to the beauty of nature offered by the video of Jonas Mekas (in the deconsecrated church of San Carlo, today and tomorrow from 2.30pm to 6pm).

AND WITH THE RECORD STORE DJ SET AND THE MAGIC OF VINYL

This year’s Blooming Weekend coincides with Record Store Day. For the occasion – explained the organizer, Chicca Galli, vice-president of the Botteghe del Centro of Cremona – in many areas of the central cities DJ sets will be placed strictly in vinyl. The Invasions weekend will also be an opportunity to strengthen the bond with the city and enhance places and initiatives. The photos of Musumeci, Trevisani and Polonioli dedicated to the biodiversity of the Adda Sud park are exhibited at the Natural History Museum. For information: [email protected].
