FANO – An initial moment of confrontation took place between the two candidates, Cristian Fanesi and Samuele Mascarin, who competed for the candidacy for Mayor of Fano by a few votes in the centre-left primary run-off last Sunday.
“It was a fair and fair competition, which mobilized thousands of citizens and which must be the basis of an electoral campaign characterized by renewed enthusiasm because beating the right and guaranteeing progressive leadership for the city is possible” – declared Cristian Fanesi , winner of the primaries and candidate for Mayor for the center-left – “With Samuele, as well as with Etienn Lucarelli and Cora Fattori, I am building a collegial electoral campaign to win the challenge of the June administrative elections together.
Samuele is a fundamental part of this commitment and in the next season of government, with his skills and qualities, he will be part of my council team”.
“The primaries were a democratic and participatory step, from which we can start again to mark a further profound difference compared to our only opponent: the right” – added Samuele Mascarin – “Cristian is the candidate for Mayor of the entire centre-left and in the next weeks my commitment will be to support him with determination, giving space and representation to that idea of politics that I tried to interpret in the long journey to the primaries. I owe it to the citizens who ask me to give continuity to my political commitment in and for the centre-left”.
