Culinary delight in Sardinia: the owner of Pepe in Grani inaugurates his pizzeria Spazio by Franco Pepe at 7Pines Resort Sardinia starting from 4 May 2024.

In the heart of the splendid Baia Sardinia, there is a place where the passion for pizza and culinary excellence come together in a unique gastronomic experience. The prestigious 7Pines Resort has partnered with the renowned pizza chef Franco Pepe, considered one of the best in the world, to open the extraordinary pizzeria Space by Franco Pepe by the resort’s spectacular swimming pool, with a menu in collaboration with the Executive Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio.

Franco Pepe, who gained international fame thanks to his pizzeria “Pepper in grains” located in the city of Caiazzo (a small village on the hills of Caserta), for this exciting experience he will bring his pizza to Sardinia for the first time.

Known as the “King of Pizza”, Franco Pepe has gained international fame for his unique and innovative culinary creations. His mastery of the art of pizza has been recognized by food critics and enthusiasts around the world, making him a true legend in the world of catering.

Franco Pepe, originally from Campania, began his journey into the world of pizza at a young age, learning the secrets of the art of pizza from the master pizza chefs of his region. As the years passed, he honed his skills and took his talents around the world, working in renowned restaurants and resorts. With the experience of two generations behind him and inspired by a new vision of pizza, in 2012 Pepe in Grani opened, a place where experimentation, craftsmanship, hospitality, training and attention to the territory meet; a project that is enriched over the years, based on the passion for a pasta dish that tells the flavors of the Upper Caserta area.

Famous for its unique dough and dedication to elevating the art of pizza, its popularity began with an article by Jonathan Gold, a Pulitzer Prize-winning gastronomist who wrote in the American edition of Food & Wine magazine: “ I probably ate the best pizza in the world at Franco Pepe.” Subsequently, he became the most voted pizza chef in Phaidon’s “Where to eat pizza” guide. This meeting between upper Caserta and Sardinia translates into a new menu available throughout the summer.
