Carlo Guccione, from his privileged position in the national leadership of the Democratic Party, turns the spotlight on the hub hospital. But his is a merciless diagnosis: «The “Annunziata”, despite the excellent medical professionals present and the recent hiring by the university, is defined by the national agency Agenas as “the worst hospital in Italy”. And unfortunately, as we know, there is never an end to the worst. The most obvious point of a currently unstoppable decline is that of beds. Out of 730 acute cases, foreseen by the DCA of the hospital network, those actually active are 425. That is, 305 are missing.”
The reply from the commissioner of the hospital company arrived shortly by post. De Salazar invites Guccione to a meeting: «I would have the pleasure of meeting Carlo Guccione since I absolutely agree with him, with some corrections. What he claimed is all true, until December 2022, when I wasn’t there and he was. If he also has the pleasure of meeting me, I will be able to represent to him, given the turnaround in the trend regarding healthcare production, revenues and the greater services obtained in the year 2023. I await him and greet him cordially”.
