SULMONA. Traders who are not in compliance will be able to pay in installments. This is what was decided at the technical table, which took place yesterday morning in the Municipality, on the granting of permits for the occupation of public land. The meeting was attended by municipal administrators and managers, a delegation of traders and Soget, the company that deals with the collection of Tosap. To save the outdoor season and to encourage and make the most of the historic centre, the Municipality has decided to meet the traders who have ended up on the list of defaulters and who, for this reason, have had their requests rejected. «The installment plan, to be agreed in detail, will be evaluated based on the amount of the sum to be recovered. However, we decided to reduce the administrative fine for those who had already applied in 2023″, explains the councilor Andrea Ramunno, remembering that the 28 owners of commercial establishments, who received the no from the municipal offices, will be able to put tables and dehors outdoors during the summer, honoring the debt. In fact, the no was conditional on the payment of the fee. At the moment only six have been authorized by the Municipality to occupy the spaces. The others will have to wait or in any case pay the amount due. The local police, who had carried out the checks on the list provided by Soget, had imposed around 40 fines of 100 euros each. The fines were reviewed because, among those sanctioned, there were also traders who had paid the amount due but this was not due to a communication problem. In this regard, the traders had started collecting signatures asking the Municipality for quicker times for examining the paperwork and issuing the permits, also taking into account the expenses to be incurred for submitting the applications. Furthermore, the operators had also asked to review the sanctions, given the regulatory confusion generated during the pandemic. (ada)
