Cosenza shakes off their fears and anxieties and triumphs in Reggio Emilia, posting an eye-rubbing 0-4. The Wolves return to victory after two months (eight championship days from 17 February in Lecco-Cosenza) and they get close to just one length behind Reggiana, who appeared completely scared and exhausted. The victory of the team Avenues it was well deserved and unites all the protagonists in a single praise, without exception. From the “old guard” of Tutino, D’Orazio, Calò and Marras – practically perfect in every play – to the freshness and dynamism of the younger ones: Zuccon, Mazzocchi, Antonucci. Cosenza is dangerous when it extends vertically. In the 14th minute Tutino serves Antonucci but the Roman is not precise with his right foot. Three minutes later, Marras catches the Neapolitan but Marcandalli closes in the corner.
The match settles down but Cosenza is in full control. We have to wait until the 38th minute to witness a new ring: Calò heads Cigarini’s free kick into the back of the net. In the end, however, it is still Cosenza. Tutino catches Calò’s throw, swerves and hits the post (he was offside but the linesman lets it continue) and on the next play in the 44th minute he receives from Mazzocchi and with a billiard shot beats Satalino. In the second half, Meroni heads Satalino on Calò’s corner (6′). Reggiana shows signs of recovery through changes. In the 19th minute Portanova sent it wide from outside the area, then Micai handled Pajac’s free kick and blocked Gondo’s low shot (28′). The latter saves from the chest for Okwonkwo who angles the shot too much (31′). However, the Wolves did not suffer, they continued to manage the match as best they could and ended it with Forte, who found the net again in the 81st minute by taking advantage of Calò’s under-measured free kick. The attacker repeats himself in the ninetieth minute: shot deflected by Marcandalli, Satalino out of action. Final with a big party under the guest sector.
