Hospital, the doubts of Massimo Morassut (Green Europe): “Little or nothing for the Birth Center”
Descriptive text here

“I learn from the online press, which in turn learns from the social profile of the Mayor of Velletri that, for the reopening of the birth center in Velletri, progress is being made. This would be positive news for the City. However, reading the attached documents in detail, the conditional is a must.

It can thus be discovered that the planned intervention in the Obstetrics-Gynecology and Pediatrics departments is extraordinary building maintenance, limited to: painting and maintenance of fixtures. Common interventions, which must be carried out periodically in every residential home, certainly not strictly connected to the specialization of the department which could in any case, one day, be destined for something else. It is not enough!

The other robust intervention, certainly of greater economic impact, included in the package, consists in the construction of a new retaining wall on the parking lot at the entrance to the hospital. A work that is certainly necessary for safety, but what does it have to do with the birth point? Nothing, exactly. The whole package, painting and wall, for just over 118 thousand euros. Little or nothing for the birth point, but enough to bypass the European electoral campaign. We’ll see later, perhaps if we can achieve the expected exemption from the minimum requirement of 500 births/year. Well, it doesn’t seem like a worthy “Annunciation” to me. The Grimace was preferable.”

This is how Massimo Morassut, of Europa Verde, expressed himself regarding the news given by the Mayor on the steps forward for the birth center.
