The journalist Salvatore Minieri he chose the again “Manzoni” High School of Caserta for the presentation of his latest investigative book, entitled “Bread and Poison“. The event is organized by the Casertano Institute, directed by the Headmaster Adele Vairo, and with the patronage of the Rotary Club of Caserta “Luigi Vanvitelli”, of the Rotaract of Caserta “Luigi Vanvitelli” and of the Inner Wheel of Caserta “Luigi Vanvitelli” . The appointment is scheduled in the “Buon Pastore” Auditorium-Theatre for Monday 22 April at 6.00 pm.

The book “Pane e Veleno” aims to be a real journey, without censorship and rigorously conducted on the basis of scientific documentation, to discover the dangers of foods and products that we consume daily, unaware of their harmfulness to our health.

“For about five years we have reached the lowest point of the food chain: raw fish, often contaminated, fake oils, Chinese tomatoes passed off as Naples gold. Up to mozzarella bleached with lime and the worst meat that ends up in fast food chains – underlines Salvatore Minieri, and adds: – with this book we try to enter into the secrets of counterfeiting, delving into topics that – at least until now – had remained covered by a thick blanket of complicit silence”.

Salvatore Minieri will guide the students of the Manzoni high school in discovering uncomfortable truths about our diet and the risks to our health, which we often ignore. An event that promises to be of great importance and which will offer a precious opportunity for reflection to the school community of the Manzoni Campus and to the city of Caserta.

The presentation of the book “Pane e Veleno” is part of the activities of the Institute project “Meeting with the Authors”, which aims to help students approach, with a critical approach, the reading of texts of various genres, helping them to strengthen one’s ‘itinerary’ of human and cultural growth.
