Treviso opens public housing tenders to businesses: they will be able to create accommodation for their employees at controlled prices | Today Treviso | News

TREVISO – Residences and accommodation at controlled prices to meet new housing needs, such as single workers, young couples or middle class families who today are excluded from the market due to the very high costs of both buying and renting a house. This is the objective of the new project of the Municipality of Treviso which has defined the revision of the regulation for the Peep areas (economic and popular housing) of the city by opening tenders also to local companies. The manufacturing companies that will participate in the tenders, four currently open, three lots in Canizzano and one in Santa Bona for a total of around 80 homes to be built, will be able to build homes to offer spaces to their employees or bodies such as the Ulss and Israel.

“The aim is to provide numerous rewards to those who decide to build affiliated residences – explains the municipality – Furthermore, the reduction of the penalties foreseen in case of renouncement by the cooperatives or companies selected following the issuing of the tenders is foreseen public. This reduction encourages greater participation of operators in the assignment of areas, resulting in fewer business risks”. The other change concerns the lower risks for the successful tenderer of losing the award, thus allowing easier access to bank financing. Finally, it is intended to open up to a greater number of future buyers, providing for greater flexibility in relation to subjective requirements, establishing as a limit to the purchase of accommodation the possession of the applicant and no other member of the family unit of other accommodation within the territory. municipal and not in the national territory.

“The most significant change to the new Peep regulation – he explains the urban planning councilor Andrea De Checchi, director of the project- in addition to some more technical ones, which merely simplify the bureaucratic aspect, it concerns the possibility for companies to be directly assigned the accommodation. While once the entities that built the accommodation in a Peep area could sell or rent them only to private individuals, now the sale or rental can also take place towards companies which in turn can rent or sell them to their own or to others employees while maintaining limited costs. The maximum price of both sale and rental will be defined by the Municipality.”
