In January 2023 they had already come under the spotlight for the emotional marriage proposal, also made on board a plane. Today, April 19th, the particular wedding.
The proposal
It was January 2, 2023: Ivano Decembrini48 years old, had asked for her hand Federica Negrello. Nothing so strange except that the proposal arrived in front of 400 passengers on a Milan-Budapest flight. The young woman’s answer, between tears and emotion, was “yes”, without any hesitation. And today, Friday 19 April, just over a year later, the fateful day of promises has arrived.
The wedding at high altitude
Also in this case the Novara couple chose to “take flight”. This morning on a Wizz Air flight between Milan and Madrid, in front of 200 passengers. An unforgettable moment for the airline and for the lucky couple who won the “WIZZiamoci involo” competition. Announced last month, the competition attracted huge interest, with over 60 entries, but one couple in particular caught everyone’s attention.
Ivano’s marriage proposal, in fact, as mentioned, took place on board a Wizz Air flight last year, making this couple from Novara the perfect symbol of the union between love and adventure.
The two spouses
Both passionate about art, travel and motorbikes, Ivano and Giulia represent the adventurous and carefree soul that characterizes the concept of “WIZZiamoci in volo”. Their story is a mixture of shared passions, jokes, laughter and a healthy dose of unpredictability, all surrounded by music, both being musicians: “However, music is not the only passion that unites us, we have much more in common: the passion for art, reading, motorbikes, travel… and the tendency to be a little crazy! We are always travelling, always on the move, we love adventures and discovering the world! We are atypical and unpredictable, especially Ivano! Our days are never the same and we don’t know what boredom is: we love living every single day with the intensity of a special day!” says the new bride, Federica.
The in-flight ceremony
Music was a great protagonist also thanks to a saxophone concert improvised by one of the guests, accompanied by the singing of Ivano’s children.
The ceremony was held this morning on board the Wizz Air flight between Milan and Madrid, with the participation of over 200 people, including friends, family and other passengers thrilled to witness this unique moment. In addition to celebrating the wedding through the captain, the Wizz Air team offered Prosecco to all passengers, delighting them with a pink cake that recalls the main color of the company.
After landing, the guests were taken to Madrid’s El Retiro Park, where they took part in a three-hour sightseeing tour. The couple’s family will return home on the evening flight, bringing with them indelible memories of this extraordinary day, while Ivano and Federica will have a small 3-day honeymoon offered by Wizz Air.
