Calabria Council, no agreements on Autonomy without impact analysis

Document approved by the centre-right majority

“A preventive impact analysis is also needed on the subjects excluded from the determination of the Lep.

Without this indispensable in-depth analysis, no State-Regions agreement can be formalized on differentiated autonomy”.

This is what the Regional Council of Calabria states in a document proposed by the centre-right majority (Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia, Lega and Forza Azzurri, together with Action) and approved with the votes of the latter at the conclusion of the debate on autonomy differentiated. The centre-left minority voted against.

“The Regional Council of Calabria – it is stated in the document – believes that it is necessary to take action, within its competence, and to supervise with extreme attention, so that social and civil rights are guaranteed to all citizens throughout the national territory, ensuring the possibility to make agreements, pursuant to article 116 of the Constitution, only following the prior full financing of all essential levels of services in all regions”.

“It is also necessary – it is added – to commit to proposing the necessary steps with the government and Parliament so that the attribution of functions relating to further forms and particular conditions of autonomy on matters excluded from the determination of the Lep is permitted only following discussion and approval of an impact analysis of the hypotheses of regional legislative and regulatory intervention affecting the activities of citizens and businesses and the organization and functioning of public administrations, to ensure, also in these additional areas, the correct competitive functioning of the market, the protection of individual freedoms and the maintenance of the general principles of the legal system”.
