Eligible Committee for CPI Sicily competition: “Disappointed by the attitude of the regional government”

On the morning of April 16th, the members of the Committee of those eligible for the CPI Sicily competition for IAC and OML profiles went to Palazzo D’Orleans, in Palermo, in order to obtain the use of the current rankings to make up for the very serious and well-known shortcomings of personnel within the offices of the Sicilian Public Administration.

“The protesters complained – we read in a note – the lack of mention in the Integrated Plan of Activities and Organization for the three-year period 2024-2026, the recognition of the equivalence of the figures of Administrative Accounting Instructor and Labor Market Operator to the figures of Administrative Instructor and Economic and Financial Instructor of which, however, the Public Administration is lacking as highlighted in the same document”.

“What has been stated so far is clearly different from the CCNL where all the instructor roles – we read in the press release – are allocated in the same and single sector. The Sicilian Region, in fact, refuses to regulate and provide clarifications in this regard. The recent hirings of Administrative Accounting Instructors and Labor Market Operators have not undergone any distinction and both figures have been classified in the generic role of management instructor”.

“The manager Salvatore Sammartano, Chief of Staff of the Presidency, gave an audience to a delegation of demonstrators – adds the Committee – and declared that the priorities of the Sicilian Region are to proceed with the satisfaction of the needs of category D and not also to category C as the protesters requested. During the meeting the representation also requested the transfer of the rankings to the Municipalities of the Region and this was verbally endorsed by the Manager. The same delegation was met in the afternoon by some parliamentary groups who showed themselves willing to listen and proactive with respect to the requests of the appropriate IAC and OML”.

“Therefore, the Committee considers itself completely dissatisfied – the note concludes – with the conduct of the Sicilian Region and will be forced, against its will, to transmit the documents to the Prosecutor’s Office and the ANAC”.
