18/04/2024 – The charm of a musical period marked by the emergence of new forms, protagonist of “The Baroque, the voice, the dance”, Sunday 21 April (starting at 5.30 pm) at the Oratorio della Carità of Fabriano, concert organized by WunderKammer Orchestra with the patronage of the City of Fabriano and the support of Sistemi Klein, Giardino di Santa Maria, Morfeus, New ideas travel Lara Avventura.
On stage the soprano Ketevan Abiatari, the dancer and castanet player Ludovica Mosca accompanied on the harpsichord by Lorenzo Antinori will perform arias by Zipoli, Vivaldi, Turrini, Handel, Bononcini and Scarlatti.
Violinist and soprano, the Georgian Ketevan Abiatari studied and frequented the Italian bel canto repertoire and then, more recently, arrived at Renaissance and Baroque singing. A multifaceted artist, Ludovica Mosca studied classical and contemporary dance and the four specialties of Spanish dance (Escuela Bolera, Estilizada, Regional and Flamenco) in Barcelona, French Baroque dance in Spain and France, Italian Renaissance dance in Italy. She teaches piano, chamber music, castanets and baroque dance at the Escola Luthier de música i dansa in Barcelona. The baroque notes are entrusted to Lorenzo Antinori’s harpsichord. Winner of national and international organ competitions, he carries out intense concert activity in Italy and abroad and is Kapellmeister and Organist of the co-cathedral of Urbania and of the cathedral basilica of Urbino.
Castanets are a percussion instrument, already widespread in the third century BC in Egypt, used in funerary and religious rituals. Thanks to trade, their popularity grew to such an extent that in 1608 they were played for the wedding of Cosimo II de Medici and Maria Maddalena of Austria. But it was Spain, during the so-called Siglo de Oro (1492 – 1681), where they were most successful. Over the centuries, numerous composers, from Boccherini to Wagner, introduced this instrument into their works.
