Mototherapy is about to arrive in Latina in its official version and with all the necessary rehabilitation requirements. It is a real method conceived and launched at a national level by Doctor Luca Nuzzo, neuro and psychomotor therapist of the developmental age. Nuzzo is a professional from Campania who has been involved in various activities alongside the disabled for over 20 years and has been mobilized since 2019 to introduce his project in various Italian cities. The therapy consists of using the motorbike as an emotional, sensorial, motor and cognitive activator. Two wheels, generally electrically powered, therefore reveal themselves to be a tool capable of pushing autistic individuals or those with neurodevelopmental disorders into a meaningful relationship.
The Mirability social cooperative has decided to bring this project to Latina, also proving to be the first ever to introduce it in Lazio. In this regard, in collaboration with two other important entities, it has organized an event aimed at raising funds for the purchase of an electric motorbike to be used for the innovative method and for special kids who want to discover it.
Together with the generous and tireless motorcyclists of the “I Tuareg Motoclub” association and together with the inclusive sports company Asd InTeam, the “Motoability” event will be proposed on Sunday 28 April, sponsored by the Municipality of Latina: it will be an opportunity to illustrate the project in detail , to raise the funds necessary to activate it but also to showcase the activities carried out by the special children followed by Mirability and InTeam.
To illustrate the program and contents of the day, a press conference will be held on Tuesday 23 April at 10.30 in the same spaces as the festival, at the “Maria Madre della Chiesa” Church (included in the Parish of San Luca), in via Rosa Mistica, in the Q4 district of Latina. Since this is an event sponsored by the Municipality, the Councilor for Social Services will intervene to reiterate their support Michele Nasso and the Sports Councilor Andrea Chiarato. The participation of the Pontine regional councilor is also expected Angelo Tripodiimmediately mobilized alongside the organizers.
